Come along and watch as my friends and I go out to an old wagon gravesite and pick up the bones of an old friend. It was these simple horse drawn vehicles that brought our ancestors west. During the years of the great cattle drives they served as chuck wagons and the cowboy's home away from home. I'll show you how we gave this Old Hickory Wagon new life and help you to relive a part of history that saved Texas after the Civil war.

The wheels are the tricky part. You will
need a little help and some special tools, like a Dutch oven with some sour dough biscuits
and maybe some fresh wild hog ribs . That's the way I do it and it takes about two and
half days to build a complete set.
